Mark Pressed4Time

The Story of the Mark Pressed4Time Franchise

Mark Pressed4Time is my youngest child. I began this franchised business in April of 2007, building this business from the ground up. The same drive that lead a small pitcher to be successful continues into my own business. I enjoy providing a quality product, spending time talking to my customers, and meeting their needs. I believe that if you treat people well and stand up when problems occur, they see your character. Many of my customers have been with me since the early days of my business, which I believe, is a testament to my desire to give quality service and a great product. Pressed 4 Time is by far my greatest professional accomplishment.

I work very hard to support my family and I know that they are behind me in everything that I do. My family is my biggest support and an extremely important part of my life. My wife, son, and daughter have taught me patience, love, and even more time management strategies. My children enjoy helping with my business and it is not out of the ordinary to see them with me working. My wife fully supports my business, which helps me to focus on the day-to-day operation of Mark Pressed4Time. Community is also important to our family and I enjoy supporting my children’s school activities and Parent Teacher Association, coaching my son’s baseball teams, serving on the board of the baseball organization, and most importantly church activities. I do my best to be authentic in everything. I have committed myself to teaching my children to work hard in all they do. I hope I teach my children drive and work ethic by example.

Get to know Mark

The first driving force in my life was athletics, specifically baseball. As a kid, I always answered ‘professional baseball player’ when asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. Throughout my teenage years, I became determined to make that dream a reality. I was driven to work hard toward that goal, I played with determination and did not let my size get in my way. As a pitcher I was always told I was too small, however, I never let size stop me. I spent six years playing professional baseball in the minor league systems of the Kansas City Royals and the Cincinnati Reds. Not only did I learn valuable athletic skills as a player, I learned many things about teamwork, organization, time management, and the importance of giving back to your community. Although my professional baseball career ended, I continue to love the game and stay involved by helping young pitchers learn the same skills. I am also proud to say I am teaching my love of the game to my own children and the teams I have coached for many years now.

When my baseball career ended, I became a meter reader for Virginia Natural Gas and was fortunate enough to spend twelve years with a great company. As a meter reader, I was often a customer’s first, or only glimpse, of Virginia Natural Gas. I was in the community talking to customers, answering their questions, and helping them when necessary. I learned so many things about customer service, especially how to treat people. Although I loved my job, made many friends, and enjoyed the security of working for a large company, my desire to build something of my own was very strong and after many months of prayer and research, I stepped out in faith to start my own company.
